Grand Slam event hosts 2024 Olympic Games

If you’re able to escape the fact it’s Monday morning for a second and let your mind think as far ahead as 2024, then I’ve got some great news for you!

Roland Garros is going to be the place to be to watch the tennis at the Olympic Games in 2024. Paris won the bid to host the games last week after a series of failed bids, including one against London which we all remember hosted the tennis at Wimbledon.

It is only the second time in history a games has been held at a Grand Slam arena and it’s going to pose a very interesting challenge given it will slot in between Wimbledon and Us Open. As a result 2024 is going to be one hell of a tough year on tour with the top men and women players having to switch from clay to grass, to clay, and then hard to play three of the biggest tournaments in under two months.

Now, if you’re wondering who’s going to be taking home gold on the red stuff, you might want to look past the top four! Murray and Djokovic will be 37 while Nadal will be 38 and Federer 43!

Want a glimpse of who could be there; take a look at our recent blog, a new star is born!

One last thing! As the Phillipe Chatrier court will have a brand new retractable roof, you will also be able to watch boxing, Paralympic tennis, basketball and five-a-side football.
